SHC3 appears involved in signaling from BDNF/TRKB to the RAS/MAPK pathway. BDNF induces tyrosine phosphorylation of SHC3 and binding to TRKB. Activated EGFR also interacts with and tyrosine-phosphorylates SHC3, inducing an association with GRB2. SHC3 and SCK mediate EGF signaling, but SHC3 has a higher affinity for TRKA and TRKB. |
