| Scope Statement |
A congenital diverticulum of the bladder with autosomal dominant inheritance. The diverticulum is usually located near the vesicoureteral junction and SCLEROSIS of the URETHRAL SPHINCTER with a prominent median bar of the PROSTATE occurs consistenly resulting in HEMATURIA in severe cases. Typical symptoms are bladder infection, urinary hesitancy, and DYSURIA. May also occur in EHLERS-DANLOS SYNDROME (OMIM: 130000). OMIM: 109820 |
